Our client is one of the world's major suppliers of fresh, packaged, and frozen seafood, with a reputation for high-quality production and a commitment to safety, sustainability, and innovation. They are now seeking a qualified Afternoon Shift Maintenance Fitter to join their growing team in Adelaide.


About the Role:

This is a full-time afternoon shift role, Monday to Friday, working from 2:00 PM to 10:10 PM. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you’ll carry out mechanical maintenance, breakdown support, and reliability improvements across a fast-paced production facility.

You’ll be joining a skilled and collaborative team including:

  • Engineering Manager

  • Maintenance Manager

  • Multiple day, afternoon, and night shift fitters and electricians


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance on machinery and plant equipment

  • Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out timely repairs to minimise downtime

  • Support production teams with equipment adjustments and improvements

  • Work collaboratively with fellow tradespeople and management across shifts

  • Maintain compliance with WHS and safety protocols

  • Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used


What We’re Looking For:

  • Mechanical Fitter trade qualification (Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade)

  • ‘B’ Class Electrical Licence (highly regarded)

  • Current Forklift Licence (LF)

  • EWP Licence (Yellow Card or High-Risk WP)

  • Basic welding/fabrication skills

  • Ability to work independently on afternoon shift

  • Own basic hand tools
